ASA of AZ Questions Insurers...

 

As our mission emphasizes, the “Automotive Service Association of Arizona advances the professionalism and excellence in the automotive repair/collision industry through education, representation and member services”, we recognize that information is an important key in the success of our members.

 

On behalf of our members we have sent letters to over 27 insurers doing business in Arizona asking them; “how their company establishes, adjusts, and maintains the integrity of the ‘current prevailing rate’ within a given market area?”  We hope that this will open the lines of communications with the insurers and allows us to work together on making improvements on the current practices in the marketplace.

 

As an association, we recognize that in order to protect the consumer, collision repair shops must operate at a level that allows them to employ qualified staff, adhere to manufacturer approved repair methods and provide the training necessary so that technicians can keep up with the array of changes put forth by vehicle manufacturers every year. 

 

The Automotive Service Association of Arizona’s Collision Workgroup is working toward providing information and tools in order to maximize the longevity of the industry with their current mission in mind, “Protecting Consumers through Positive Changes in the Collision Industry”.
