Part of the mission of the Automotive Service Association of

Arizona is advocating for members and monitoring issues that

impact their business. There are several levels of advocacy,

which includes monitoring legislation at the state level,

attending regulatory meetings from various agencies that are

implementing changes into the existing laws and representing

the interest of the automotive industry, researching your

questions about the law and regulations. The goal is to

promote changes that will safeguard your independence

and your ability to run a successful business.

 

Your Help is Needed!!!

In order for public policy to be effective, you need to make your voice heard.  Throughout the legislative
session there will be “calls for action” where you as a  member of ASA, an independent business owner
and as a registered voter will be asked to education legislator on issues impacting the automotive industry
you can participate by: 
 

          .       Knowing who your state legislators are – have their phone number and email accessible.

          .       Respond to “calls for action” by calling, emailing or visiting your legislator.
          .       Educate – As a business owner, you know your business.  Testifying in front of committees
                  about your  business is simply educating legislative members on the  most effective
                  business practices and benefits for consumers.
          .       Monitor legislation, as a private citizen, you too have access to the legislative information,
                  you can  register   to receive updates, visit the capitol and attend a committee meeting
